June Scraplift

I completed this scraplift just recently and am so glad to get back into the scrapping side of life! In the top left I reverse dry embossed some sunshines and then turned over the paper and sanded it. I added colored chalk pencil to the sun to make them stand out better. The girls went to a luau for the end of the year party for Girl Scouts.

Oh, My Goodness!!!!!

I cannot believe that June is here already and almost gone! The 4th of July is right around the corner. What I really can't belive is that I haven't uploaded anything to this blog in that amount of time....YIKES!
I went to a scrapbooking weekend in the middle of Jan. and finished a few LO's. TFL
The first 2 LO's were for a monthly telephone scraplift.

We spent some time down in Florida with Stephen's Mom and Dad after their anniversary celebration. We took all the kiddos to the waterpark at Sea World. (Aquatica)

I used my new summer fun cartridge for my Slice. I had fun piecing the pail, beach ball and the flip flops together. :)

This one is definitely my favorite. Although the background is a much brighter green, I love the feel of this LO with the popped up paper strips and fluffy flower.

Happy Be*lated New Year!!!!!

The month of December went by in a huge blur.........

Can't believe that the New Year is Here!! I am now ready to get back to my normal routine and my resolution for the year is entangled in a focus word:

Completion

I have so many projects and visions for myself personally as well as our home. I want to make a list and check them off as completed! That will be my task throughout the year to complete what I have started and envisioned.

O.k. now that I have put that in writing, I can check off my 1st thing on my list!!!

(1st blog entry of the year) Wish me luck on my year of completion.......what would be your word for the year?

This last one is a birthday card to me niece that turned 4 last Sat.

Happy Birthday Gabriella!!!

Dallas Cowboy LO

Here is my latest LO using the BOAF May kit I had won as a crop prize. Stephen and I had gotten a chance to attend a football game in the Coca-Cola end zone suite. We had a great time......the girls stayed at home and had a wonderful time with the babysitter! Here is a close-up of my Texas Star Flower. I used my McGill tension tweezer and twirled the paper springs to make the points on the star.

Homemade Cards and Ornaments

My cousin and husband are having their first baby....I made a card and envelope for her baby shower that her family had for the happy couple! ( I unfortunately will be sending a gift card because we are now living so far away.) I used a sketch/card design from Paper Crafts Magazine...Go to Sketches Vol. 1...p.55. Here is the inside I stamped and colored w/ water color pencils. Then I got busy on some card holders for the homemade ornaments that I made for an ornament swap with some friends at OSU. I made the enveopes to match.

The ornaments slide right inside into a slit that was cut right above the stamped greeting.

For the ornaments, I found in my stash some acrylic ones made by clear snaps. I embossed the greeting in gold. embossed the holly leaves w/ green and added bead berries. I used alcohol inks on the back very sparingly to highlight the sentiment. Tied ribbon and gold string to hang. Viola! Merry Christmas!!! Can't wait to see what the other gals have made! :)
