Dance Performance

Jaclyn, Jordan and two of our neighbor girls performed with another neighbor at her high school on Sat. They all had such a wonderful time. There were 2 performances. Jordan ran off the floor for the first one but when we went back in the evening she said she was going to perform! And she did! All the girls did a wonderful job!

New Layouts!!!!

This is a LO I did for a Personnal Scrapper scraplift......we were celebrating my dad's 75th birthday in Valley Springs, SD.
I did this LO for the OSU scraplift......I started using this pic with different pp but it just didn't work. I think this works very well!!! This pic was taken this spring on picture day.

This is a LO example of a challenge I have posted on the PS forum. You need to scrap a summer first event but the catch is you have to cut your pp but you can't cut it in a straight line....use decorative scissors, cut a wavy line or slanted, use decorative borders or brackets and circles. Have fun!

Camping

Went camping with my family in SD for my god-niece's 6th birthday. WOW!!! What a weekend!! All the kiddos played so nice at the campground. It was nice to be able to actually chit chat rather than run around like a chicken after them!!! Here are a few highlights........
The girls with the birthday girl gettin' some chow!!!
My niece, Gabriella blowing bubbles.
Most of the grandkids playing with the go-cart-bikes.
And of course....the girls with Yogi!!! (The "real " one came to the camp site but Jordan wouldn't have anything to do with that one!!! )

More LO's....

This LO has turned out to be my favorite this week. It was for a challenge at Serendipty Scrapbooks.....You had to follow a sketch but make your own flowers.
This LO was for a challenge at Scrapbook Heaven....to use a critter on your LO. I used a puffed up sticker that looked like the helmet that the girls were wearing.

New Crop LO's

This one is when the girls came home so excited about what they were learning in kindergarten.
My lil' pumpkin, Gabriella, and her Uncle "Baby" we call him Davey. She heard that and called him baby.

The girls got a spring zinnia garden for Easter and were so excited when the plants started to grow!

At our Bernards/Vermeer reunion dad filled his plate with all the good food and the kiddos were amazed that he was going to eat all that food! He did.....took him an hour, but he cleaned his plate.

Crop LO's

Here are some LO's (that I actually posted during the crop).
The first two are from the girls' trip to the A'maze'n Farmyard at the end of the school year in 2009. These next two LO's are from our day trip to Itasca State Park....where the Mississippi River begins. (2008)
This LO is about when the girls were "pretending" to make cookies like Mommy, while we were getting ready for company at Thanksgiving time. (2006)Here is a LO about the food we ate in Belize. We loved the spicy Habenero sauce....we even brought some home. While I was cleaning cupboards, I found a bottle of it that we had gotten a couple of years ago!!!! Guess we liked it then, too!!! I had a lot of fun working on the challenges from the crop...I won 4 of the drawings held for the crop. I was pretty excited and THANKS to Serendipity Scrapbooks and their DT for putting on such a great crop!

Serendipity Crop

Here is an Easter mini pizza box, and 2 cards made for the crop.

Non-Crop Layouts!!!

I am such a flake!!!....I did some scrappin' for some challenges posted at a crop on the Personal Scrapper website and I forgot to post them before the end of the crop!!!! Ohh well. I'll share them here. This is an Easter card I lifted from the Card Makers magazine. This is a Lift from the idea sheet in the Feb. 2010 PS kit....love these papers! ( Sorry about the reflection on the transparency, didn't notice til too late!) This was for an outside challenge.....The girls got a snowmobile/ sledding ride on their birthday with their cousin, Caitlyn and Uncle Rob. The snow totally disappeared that weekend.....which is a very good thing! Here is a lift from one of the PS challenges...I started scrapping some of our Belize pics....this is one of my favs....It is nice to have good friends! This pic is blurry cuz the waiter was trying to take them fast and moving the camera before it had even taken the picture....also it says 22 but really we have 2 people missing....I have to figure out how to photo shop them in since we didn't get a big pic of all of us together before the end was near! I promise I'll get them in though!

Belize 2010 - Chapter 1

Our story began 6:00 a.m. when we call the rest of our group and they say.."Our flights have been cancelled!!!" We thought they were kidding but nooooo. So the 4 of us get to the airport, check in, and our flight leaves on time. (We flew through Dallas and the other 8 couples flew through Atlanta.) We arrive in Belize on Sat. Feb. 13, 2010. I'm sure it will never be the same!!!!

The other couples caught a flight to Houston and then on Sunday flew to Belize. They arrived a day late but at least everyone arrived safely. (Cancelled flights, lost luggage, boat rides, puddle flights....etc...etc.) There were a total of 22 people in our total group!!!!!!
Stephen, Cory, Julie and I took a puddle jumper to the island of San Pedro where we made our home for the week. The first night was kinda crazy because we were all glad that we were there....the 3rd night we had some local ladies cook for us. The food was awesome!!!! Stephen liked the chicken type stew over coconut rice but my favorites (can't just have one!) were the fish w/ vegetables and the lime salsa!
After the ladies cooked for us, we went into town...picture this.....22 people on 4 golf carts!!!! We felt like Fred and Wilma Flintstone! Since it was Mardi Gras, the locals have a tradition of throwing paint to celebrate.....well we gave new meaning to "painting the town"! This picture was taken just as someone was throwing paint at our group....It was the most fun I have had in a very long time!!!!

We spent our days by the pool and one morning we all ( or most of us...) went snorkeling....we saw a sea turtle.....oodles of fish and we got to touch a nurse shark! (It felt like sand paper, which surprised me!)
These are just a FEW of the highlights......tune in for the next chapter soon!!!!
