This was for Jules' Pumpkin Roll dessert challenge-- Use a rolled flower.

This one was for Michelle P.'s asparagus side dish color challenge. This one was for Michelle P's card sketch challenge.

This one was for Chris' card sketch challenge.

This one was for Jules' corn side dish color scheme challenge.

This was for Michelle P.'s dessert challenge - use ink distressing.

This last one is a birthday card to me niece that turned 4 last Sat.

Happy Birthday Gabriella!!!

Dallas Cowboy LO

Here is my latest LO using the BOAF May kit I had won as a crop prize. Stephen and I had gotten a chance to attend a football game in the Coca-Cola end zone suite. We had a great time......the girls stayed at home and had a wonderful time with the babysitter! Here is a close-up of my Texas Star Flower. I used my McGill tension tweezer and twirled the paper springs to make the points on the star.

Homemade Cards and Ornaments

My cousin and husband are having their first baby....I made a card and envelope for her baby shower that her family had for the happy couple! ( I unfortunately will be sending a gift card because we are now living so far away.) I used a sketch/card design from Paper Crafts Magazine...Go to Sketches Vol. 1...p.55. Here is the inside I stamped and colored w/ water color pencils. Then I got busy on some card holders for the homemade ornaments that I made for an ornament swap with some friends at OSU. I made the enveopes to match.

The ornaments slide right inside into a slit that was cut right above the stamped greeting.

For the ornaments, I found in my stash some acrylic ones made by clear snaps. I embossed the greeting in gold. embossed the holly leaves w/ green and added bead berries. I used alcohol inks on the back very sparingly to highlight the sentiment. Tied ribbon and gold string to hang. Viola! Merry Christmas!!! Can't wait to see what the other gals have made! :)

First Secret Sis LO....

I was so excited to get these scrappy goodies in the mail from my PS Secret Sis...Sheila! She sent me bunches of fun. Thanks so much!!! Here is my first LO that I made from the scrappy goodness. It is about our flight back from San Pedro Island to catch the flight to the states from Belize in Feb. 2009.

October Layouts.....

Honestly....I have been slacking off this month! I will share what I did get accomplished.....Hopefully next month will be much more productive! Oh..wait....it is next month already!!!!! YIKES!I made this thank you card ( and a few of the LO's) using a sketch from Scrapbook Heaven. This was a picture of the girls in their costumes last year.....they froze while I took the picture and then we put on our coats to go trick-or-treating with friends from the neighborhood. This is a picture of the neighborhood friends. In 2009, we made it too the park for some fall family pictures before the big snowfall! The girls went to a roadside market to pick out pumpkins this year. They had fun looking and the different colors and varieties of pumpkins!

Happy Halloween!!!!

The girls were trick or treating with friends in the neighborhood! They had such a great time but after about an hour, I could keep up with them because they weren't running anymore! JJ- little miss DIVA! with her carved jack-o-lantern. JoJo - Vampiress with her jack-o-lantern....she didn't like the way I put her make-up on so she washed it off and did it herself!

Check out these characters......LOVE IT!

Back to Business!!

Our first couple weeks of school have been quite uneventful....which is a good thing! The weather has cooled down and football starts this week. I love this time of year! Here is a picture of the girls walking to school on their first day. I love the lighting at that time in the morning.

Birds of a Feather Guest DT projects

The first project I made with the new Aug. kit. I fussy cut some of the Basic Grey PP to make the flowers and also some of the Pink Paislie for the yellow green flower. I also used some of the coredinations cs that ws included to make the little blue flowers and the journal tag.

This one is one of my favorites. It is a grouping of pictures of my god-niece reading us a story while my sister and I were scrapping. I actually pulled out the sewing machine on this one!
